The Criminal Record is a monthly newsletter containing stories of crime and misadventure published in local newspapers a century ago. Most of the stories come from a nifty little newspaper called the Spokane Press that was published in Spokane from 1902 until 1939. The writers in The Press had a knack for the well-turned phrase and were a master of the provocative headline. The stories also reveals aspects of life 100 years ago that will sometimes startle and always entertain. This publication is available at a number of restaurants, stores and other outlets in Spokane, or you may subscribe for $9.95 a year and the monthly editions will be mailed to your home.
